Our first schedule for 2009 is a lecture on First aid and Pro CPR to Center for Healthcare Professions (CHP) caregiving students. The scheduled date is Jan 5-9, 2009. Expected participants will be more than 20.We have provided First aid and Pro CPR training to CHP caregiving students long before. I already forgot how many batches of students to which we have conducted the course. The venue is their caregiving school itself, in Mandaue City. Many people must have noticed old bones in the ground, but they did not attract much attention. In the 1500s dinosaur fossils were thought to be the remains of animals or human giants that had perished in the Biblical flood. The first proper scientific investigation took place after huge pair of jaws was unearthed in the Netherlands in 1770. The jaws were identified by the great anatomist Cuvier, who recognized them as the remains of a marine lizard. The creature was christened "Mosaurus". Contact lenses are thin plastic disc that rest on the surface of the cornea. They act like the lenses of ordinary glasses. Most modern contact lenses are made from very soft material that does not cause discomfort to the eye. Some lenses are worn for just one day and then thrown away. The taste of food is a mixture of both taste and smell. As you eat tiny food particles drift up into the nasal passages form the back of the mouth. The smell of the food contributes to the simple taste detected by the tounge. This explains why food tastes odd when the nasal organs are inflamed or covered by thick mucus when you have a very heavy cold, since the sense of smell is temporarily smothered.When you eat very spicy foods such as chili or curry, mild pain also forms a part of the characteristic taste. I have been quite busy and was not able to post much. It has reach to a point that I have decided to end this years post with the summary of the trainings from September up to the month of December 2008.Such was a great year for all of us with so many lectures and request for seminar. We are really proud that despite starting out so small and simple we have reach this point.
